Ángel Luis was born in Madrid (Spain) in 1995. Recently winner of the first prize and audience award in the “Sony Music Foundation 13th International Oboe Competition of Japan” where the jury noted that Sánchez “...stood out for his expression, creativity and exploration of tone color.”
He is Oboe Professor at Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón and he usually collaborates with international orchestras as Orchestra Mozart, founded by Claudio Abbado, Budapest Festival Orchestra, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunk, SWR Symphonieorchester, Teatro allá Scala de Milán, Orchestra de la Suisse Romande or Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
He has performed at major venues and festivals of the international scene such as Royal Concertguebouw in Amsterdam, Berlin Philharmonie, Lucerne Festival, Ravello Festival, BBC Proms Festival or Le Festival d ́Aix en Provence. He has been led by conductors such as Daniele Gatti, Ivan Fischer, Juanjo Mena, Antonio Pappano, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Plácido Domingo, Andras Schiff, Zubin Metha, Christian Zacharías or Vasily Petrenko.
At the age of 13 he debuts as a soloist playing the Oboe Concerto by Vincenzo Bellini and with 17 years old he debuts at Auditorio Nacional de Madrid and at Bozar in Brussels playing the Oboe Concerto by Richard Strauss.
He finished his Bachellor studies at Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, with Professors Hansjörg Schellenberger and Victor Anchel and received the award for most outstanding student in 2016. He continues his Master studies at Hochschule für Musik Freiburg in Germany with Professor Lucas Macías Navarro.
Recognized by critics for his sound, expressiveness and virtuosity, he is positioned as one of the most outstanding artists of the music scene.

Ángel Luis nace en Madrid en 1995. Recientemente ganador del Primer Premio y del Premio del Público en el “Sony Music Foundation 13th International Oboe Competition of Japan” donde el jurado puntualizó que Ángel Luis “...destacó por su expresión, creatividad y exploración de los colores en el sonido”.
Actualmente es profesor de oboe en el Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón y colabora habitualmente con orquestas como la Orchestra Mozart, fundada por Claudio Abbado, Budapest Festival Orchestra, Bayerischen Rundfunk Symphonieorchester, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Teatro alla Scala de Milán, SWR Symphonieorchester o Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
Ha tocado en los festivales y auditorios más importantes del panorama internacional como el Lucerne Festival, Ravello Festival o BBC Proms Festival en el Royal Albert Hall de Londres siendo dirigido por maestros y artistas como Daniele Gatti, Ivan Fischer, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Giovanni Antonini, Juanjo Mena, Antonio Pappano, Plácido Domingo, Sir András Schiff o Zubin Metha.
A la edad de 13 años debuta como solista tocando el concierto para oboe de V. Bellini y con 17 años debuta en el Auditorio Nacional de Madrid y en el Bozar de Bruselas tocando el Concierto para Oboe y Orquesta de Richard Strauss.
Estudió en la Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía de Madrid con los profesores Hansjörg Schellenberger y Victor Anchel, y continuó sus estudios de Máster en la Hochschule für Musik Freiburg en Alemania con el maestro Lucas Macías Navarro.
Reconocido por la crítica por su sonido, expresividad y virtuosismo, se posiciona como uno de los oboístas más destacados del panorama musical.
